When this family first visited our Denver Experience Center, they weren’t planning on building a nightclub.
They were planning a patio and pool house.
But then we turned on the lights.
During their showroom visit, we walked them through a full demonstration of Lutron Ketra’s tunable white and color-changing lighting system. We showed them how lighting can shift from natural daylight tones to warm sunset hues… and then into vibrant, saturated color scenes that completely transform a space.
Their reaction?
“We want this.”
And that moment shaped everything that followed.
A Space Designed for an Active Family
This is an active family that spends a significant amount of time outdoors together — swimming, grilling, playing, and entertaining friends. They didn’t want an outdoor space that required everyone to sit still on a sofa to enjoy it.

At the core of the project is a fully integrated Lutron Ketra lighting system that stretches across:
- The interior ceiling of the pool house
- The outdoor grilling area
- The wash lights on the exterior façade

From warm, natural tones that mirror Colorado sunsets… to vibrant, saturated color scenes that instantly shift the mood — this family now has unlimited styling options.

Full nightclub mode?
All possible.
The wash lighting across the exterior of the pool house ensures the experience isn’t confined to the interior. The architecture itself becomes part of the scene.
When lighting is done right, it doesn’t just illuminate — it transforms.
Entertainment Without Glare (Even Over Water)
One of the most striking elements of this project is the massive non-glare Samsung display positioned in the pool house.
It can be viewed clearly from:
- Inside the lounge area
- From within the pool
- Across the yard at the fire pit
Even with water reflecting nearby and dynamic lighting scenes in play, the anti-glare technology eliminates distracting reflections. The image stays crisp and clear in an environment where most displays would struggle.
And yes — there’s an outdoor TV at the fire pit as well. Because why limit the experience?
Audio That Disappears (But Performs)
Of course, a space like this needs audio to match.
We integrated:
- Invisible architectural speakers
- Small aperture ceiling speakers
- In wall subwoofers for powerful low-end response
The result is immersive, balanced sound that fills the space without interrupting the clean design lines of the architecture.
But we didn’t stop there.
For everyday use, the family can stream music throughout the space.
For the kids, we incorporated a gaming system into the setup.
And when they’re ready to take things up a level?
There’s an audio plug-in connection that allows live entertainment to tie directly into the system — meaning DJs, live musicians, or amplified events can play through the entire sound system.
From casual family night to full-scale party mode, this space adapts.
