About our work in Denver
A trusted home technology partner in Denver.
From Cherry Creek and Hilltop to LoDo penthouses and Washington Park estates, Precision Media has served Denver homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers since 2003. Our Englewood-based team — 40+ specialists strong — is one of the only integrators in the metro with an in-house prewire crew and an in-house window treatment workroom.
Every Denver project is engineered around how the home actually gets lived in: layered lighting that follows the day, motorized shading tuned to the mountain sun, whole-home audio that disappears into the architecture, and a single control experience that guests can operate without a manual.
What's different about a Denver project
One city, four very different construction realities.
Landmark districts and historic homes
Country Club, Capitol Hill, and parts of Wash Park sit inside Denver landmark districts, where exterior changes go through design review. That pushes cameras, exterior lighting, and outdoor speakers toward discreet placements and away from anything visibly mounted on a protected facade. Interiors from the 1900s to 1930s also mean plaster and lath, balloon framing, and no insulation cavity to fish — retrofit routes we plan before we quote.
Downtown and LoDo residences
High-rise and loft work runs on building rules, not job-site rules: freight elevator windows, certificate-of-insurance requirements, no core drilling through post-tension slabs, and a single riser closet for service. Concrete ceilings and exposed brick also rule out in-ceiling speakers in most units, so we lean on on-wall, in-plaster, and furniture-integrated audio.
West-facing glass and the Front Range sun
Denver averages a high number of sunny days at 5,280 feet, and west-facing glass takes direct afternoon load off the mountains. Shading here is a comfort and fade-protection decision as much as a privacy one — we spec solar-screen openness factors by elevation and orientation rather than applying one fabric to the whole house.
Established-neighborhood service access
Alley-loaded lots in Hilltop, Belcaro, and Bonnie Brae, plus narrow-lot scrapes and rebuilds, affect where a rack can live and how we get equipment in. We locate head-end gear where it can be serviced for twenty years, not just where it fit on install day.

Frequently asked — Denver
Answers for Denver homeowners.
Do you work on new construction and remodels in Denver?
Yes. We work with Denver's leading custom builders on ground-up estates and also retrofit existing homes using wireless lighting, battery-powered shades, and non-invasive integration methods.
Where is your Denver-area showroom?
Our Experience Center is in Englewood, minutes from central Denver, and is open to homeowners, builders, architects, and designers by appointment.
Can you work in a Denver landmark or historic district home?
Yes, and we plan for it. In landmark districts, exterior-visible work can require design review, so we favor discreet camera and lighting placements and route cable through interior paths. In plaster-and-lath homes we use wireless lighting, battery or hardwired shades, and existing chases to avoid opening finished walls.
Do you install in Denver high-rises and downtown lofts?
Yes. High-rise work is coordinated with building management — insurance certificates, freight elevator scheduling, and any restrictions on slab penetrations. Where concrete ceilings rule out in-ceiling speakers, we use in-plaster, on-wall, or soundbar-based audio and keep the rack in the unit's closet with proper ventilation.
How do you handle afternoon sun on west-facing Denver windows?
We select shade fabric openness by orientation rather than using one fabric throughout. West and south glass usually gets a tighter solar screen for glare and fade control, while north glass can stay more open to preserve the view. Scenes are then tuned to the sun's position by season so shades move before the room gets uncomfortable.
How far outside Denver do you travel?
We work throughout the metro and the Front Range from our Englewood headquarters, including Boulder, Longmont, Castle Pines, Littleton, Golden, Morrison, and Evergreen. Each has its own service area page with local detail.
