The challenge
Mountain homes punish weak infrastructure. Power blinks, internet drops, and the house sits unoccupied for weeks — a frozen pipe or a failed router shouldn't wait for the next visit to be discovered.
Our approach
Networking was designed for redundancy: cellular failover, power conditioning, remote reboot, and monitored UPS on the head-end.
Solar-control shades were specified with openness factors chosen per elevation — glare control on the west face, view preservation on the mountain side.
Water, temperature, and door sensors report to the owners and to us, so a problem raises a flag while it's still small.
The result
The owners arrive to a warm, lit, connected house, and when something drifts out of range we usually know first.

Built for altitude and sun
At 7,000 feet the sun is punishing on finishes and screens. Shade fabrics were chosen per exposure, sequenced on an astronomic schedule, and tied into the lighting scenes so the room reads consistently from morning to evening.

Outdoor living, three seasons
A covered deck with a weatherproof display, radiant-adjacent speaker placement, and dimmable exterior lighting extends the usable season well past summer.

How do you get reliable internet to a mountain home in Evergreen?
We combine whatever wired service is available with a failover path, then distribute with wired backhaul to access points. Where outbuildings or gates sit beyond trenching distance, a licensed-band point-to-point bridge carries the link.
Does power quality matter at altitude?
It matters everywhere, but foothills service sees more sags and surges. Rack-level UPS plus panel-level surge protection is the difference between a brownout being invisible and a weekend of rebooting equipment.
Can systems be monitored remotely from a mountain property?
Yes. Remote monitoring watches the network and head-end continuously, so most issues are corrected before anyone in the house notices — important when the drive time is 45 minutes.
